The Methodist Church Anguilla Circuit hosted its annual Summer Fest from 10–14 August, bringing together more than 40 children for a week of creativity, learning and fellowship.
Organised by the Methodist Children’s Commission, this year’s Camp was held under the theme “Power Up With Christ,” encouraging children to strengthen their faith while discovering new ways to learn, create and connect with one another.
Children and youth from all six Methodist congregations, along with participants from the wider community, took part in a variety of activities, including Bible study, arts and crafts and other creative, faith-based sessions. The programme provided opportunities for the children to explore their faith in an engaging environment while building confidence, developing character and enjoying fellowship with their peers.

The week concluded with an island tour, which included visits to some of the Methodist Chapels, providing the children with an opportunity to gain a greater appreciation for the Church’s presence and ministry, as well as the island as a whole.
Leading the Camp was Sister Elvarie Vanterpool, Chair of the Children’s Commission, supported by Sisters Hyacinth E. Hughes, Norma Bennett-Maccow, Jisan Brooks, Paula O’Connor, Trevolyn Richards, Sandra and Akira Rogers, Rev. Candis Niles and Brother Kenn Banks.
According to the Organisers, Summer Fest is more than a week of activities. It provides a positive space where children can grow in their relationship with Christ, discover their gifts, express themselves creatively and build meaningful connections within the Church and the wider community.

The Methodist Church Anguilla Circuit extends its appreciation to the Children’s Commission and all those who contributed to the success of the camp, including the parents, facilitators, organisers and ministerial staff. Above all, the Circuit celebrates the children, whose enthusiasm and participation helped to bring the theme “Power Up With Christ” to life.
As the new school year approaches, the Methodist Church Anguilla Circuit continues to pray for God’s guidance, blessings and protection over the children of Anguilla, their families and their teachers.
