National Commercial Bank of Anguilla Ltd (NCBA) hosted a Quality Customer Care Workshop for its customer-facing staff on Saturday, July 18, 2026, facilitated by the Anguilla Community College. The one-day session is the latest in a series of investments NCBA is making in its people this year, as the Bank continues its celebrations marking 10 years of service to Anguilla.
The workshop was built around a simple premise: that consistent, high-quality service, whether delivered across the counter or through a digital channel, starts with equipping employees with the right mindset and the right tools. Sessions covered service excellence, professionalism, customer engagement, effective communication, and conflict resolution, giving participants practical frameworks for handling a wide range of customer interactions with confidence and care.
Speaking on the significance of the workshop, Marisa Gumbs, Executive Manager, Banking Services, said, “At NCBA, we are committed to continuously improving the experience we provide to our customers. Investing in the development of our employees is a critical part of that journey, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver professional, responsive, and customer-focused service. As customer expectations continue to evolve, we remain dedicated to strengthening our service culture through ongoing learning and development, so that every interaction reflects the high standards we strive to achieve.”
Participants took part in interactive sessions covering service excellence, professionalism, customer engagement, effective communication, conflict resolution, and the overall customer experience. Beyond the technical frameworks, the sessions reinforced a simple but powerful idea: every customer interaction is an opportunity to build a lasting relationship. Employees left better equipped to respond with confidence, empathy, and professionalism across the full range of service situations they encounter daily.
NCBA said the training reflects its broader philosophy that exceptional customer experiences are built from the ground up, through knowledgeable and empowered staff. The Bank extended its appreciation to the Anguilla Community College for facilitating the workshop, noting the value of the College’s expertise and its interest in deepening this collaborative relationship through future training and development initiatives, a partnership that speaks to NCBA’s broader belief that strong institutions are built through strong local collaboration.
The workshop comes as NCBA continues to observe a decade of operation in Anguilla, a milestone the Bank has used throughout 2026 to reflect on its growth and reaffirm the standards that shaped it. Bank officials say the timing is deliberate: as NCBA looks toward the next ten years, service quality remains as central to that vision as it was during its first.
For customers, the message is straightforward. Every interaction with NCBA, at a branch or online, should reflect the same standard of professionalism and care the Bank has built its reputation on. NCBA, “Banking Where You Belong”.
