18N63W Inc. expanded its investment in Anguilla’s youth by awarding two US$5,000 scholarships through its Second Annual Scholarship Programme, made possible by a corporate sponsor committed to education and youth development. The nonprofit organization continues to build on its mission of helping Anguillian students pursue higher education while preparing them for successful careers.
This year’s scholarship recipients are Elvin Hodge, who is studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Derby, and Ivory Crump, who is pursuing Computer Science at the University of Leicester.
The two awards represent an important step forward for 18N63W Inc., which awarded its first scholarship last year. With support from their corporate sponsor Nagico Insurances, the organization increased the number of students receiving financial assistance this year. For the founder, Lariscia Julion, the growth of the programme demonstrates what can happen when the nonprofit and private sectors collaborate to support young people.
“We are incredibly proud to award two scholarships this year. Each scholarship represents an investment in a student’s potential and in the future of Anguilla,” said Julion. “We are grateful to our corporate sponsor for recognizing the importance of education and for partnering with us to make these opportunities possible.”
18N63W Inc.’s scholarship programme is part of a broader vision that extends beyond financial assistance. The organization is developing initiatives focused on mentorship, university coaching, career readiness, internships, and professional development to help students navigate the transition from secondary school to higher education and eventually the workforce. “The scholarship is the beginning of the journey, not the end,” Julion explained. “We want students to have access to the financial resources, guidance, professional exposure, and networks they need to succeed.”
18N63W Inc. extends its appreciation to its corporate sponsor, donors, volunteers, board members, and supporters for helping make this year’s scholarships possible. As the organization prepares for its next scholarship cycle, its message remains clear. ‘Investing in Students means Investing in Anguilla’.
