On Monday, November 3rd, 2025, as part of its 45th Anniversary week of celebrations, the Anguilla Social Security Board (ASSB) launched an upgraded public awareness programme dubbed “Your Contribution Benefits You” at the ASSB Conference Room.
The soft-launch featured the digital unveiling of a promotional billboard that highlights the rendering of ASSB’s 45th Anniversary logo and visuals which reflect the anniversary theme. The actual physical billboard was subsequently erected on the grounds of the Social Security Offices during the anniversary week.
Promoting its 45th anniversary theme “Empowering Generations for a Better Future”, the soft-launch also saw the introduction of a new campaign jingle with the pertinent message of the kind of benefits that the Social Security system affords as a financial safety net to all who contributes to its ongoing fund through salary/income deductions.

The jingle was written by ASSB member Bernard Wattley, sung by an AI generated artist, and produced by Farm Studio’s Recording Engineer, Justin Richardson. The jingle features two versions, calypso and reggae.
Speaking at the soft-launch, ASSB’s Public Relations Officer, Rosanna Browne, underscored the importance of all workers contributing to the Social Security System: “Our slogan, ‘Your Contributions Benefit You’ is built on a single, but powerful message. And that is that your Social Security contributions are not just deductions. Instead, they are an investment in your future. They provide protection for your family when it matters most. This public awareness campaign is designed to increase awareness and engagement with regard to Social Security’s seven benefits, namely: sickness; maternity; paternity; disability; old age; survival; and funeral.
“Not only all that, but your contributions will also promote registration, compliance and trust in the system as well,” she said.
Ms. Brown further launched an appeal for all workers of the community to play their part in being compliant as loyal contributors to the system: “Our campaign slogan, ‘Your contributions Benefit You’ is more than just a slogan. It is a movement towards a stronger, more inclusive social protection system.
“As we celebrate our 45th year, we invite everyone to play their part,” she solicited. “Spread the word, stay compliant and remember that you contributions truly benefit you.”
Also speaking at the launch was the Acting Director of the ASSB, Maglan Lewis-Webster. She said that going forward into the New Year, the Board will focus on making collections. “We have been here for forty-five years,” she said, “and it is time for the Management of the Social Security Board, including our Minister of Finance, to take a good look at our legislation. Going forward one can expect to see changes in the legislation,” she noted, saying “these changes are intended to help Social Security personnel as they carry out their task with the issue of compliance.”
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ms. Navine Fleming, described the public awareness campaign as one that is quite timely. “This campaign is quite timely,” she asserted. “As a Board, we want to ensure that everyone who has contributed to the system is able to realize their benefits. Therefore, we want to remind contributors that it is not just that they are paying in, but that they are making payments that would contribute to their own future benefit.”
She too appealed to workers to ensure that they are compliant in contributing. She went on further to remind employees that they also need to ensure that their employers contribute on their behalves. In addition, she appealed to self-employed workers to ‘come on board’ by coming in to the office and making arrangements to contribute so that they too can benefit from the Social Security fund in the long run.
