The Ebenezer Methodist Congregation hosted its annual Church Fair on Monday, 22 June 2026, bringing together families, friends and community members for a day of fellowship, food and entertainment.
The all-day event attracted a wide cross-section of the Anguillian community and featured a variety of activities for all ages. Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch and sampled an assortment of locally made baked goods and beverages throughout the day. The younger ones were especially delighted by the Bouncing Castle, Face Painting with Canita Ruan, a Lucky Dip, Old Time Games and a Treasure Hunt.
Attendees also took advantage of the bargains at the popular Ebenezer Pop-Up Boutique, which once again offered a selection of African and contemporary fashion and accessories.
A major highlight of the day was the much-anticipated Maypole Dance performances, which drew the largest gathering of spectators. This year’s programme featured both Junior and Senior Teams, whose colourful and skilful displays captivated the audience.
Under the direction of Choreographer Vernette Richardson, the Junior Girls expertly wove vibrant ribbons into intricate patterns around the maypole. The performance then transitioned seamlessly as members of the Senior Team joined the young dancers, creating a harmonious and visually stunning presentation that delighted onlookers.
The festivities concluded with an outdoor concert featuring performances by Dumpa and Crescendo Martin, and other local entertainers, providing a fitting end to a memorable day of celebration.
The Organisers have expressed their gratitude to the many volunteers, donors, sponsors and supporters whose generosity and dedication once again ensured the success of the Fair in strengthening community bonds and helping to preserve cherished traditions.
