Anguilla’s Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Kenneth Hodge, has taken the opportunity to welcome, home, the island’s famed chef, Mr. Kerth Gumbs, from the United Kingdom.
Kerth is on a special culinary assignment as Resident Chef at Four Seasons Resort and Residences. His work, from November 12-18, entails being the signature chef at SALT, the resort’s high-end restaurant for guests.
Addressing the Government’s Press Conference on Monday, November 8, Minister Hodge stated: “I want to welcome Chef Kerth Gumbs to Anguilla, a son of the soil and an international-renowned chef. It makes my heart proud to see how our local products have risen to such high heights. He is here on a special assignment with Four Seasons for at least two weeks.
“He has brought with him one of his chefs, Perry Reynolds. I welcome both of them and hope that they will have an enjoyable time in Anguilla. I understand that they are really very busy preparing for the culinary events at Four Seasons.”
