LAND TENURE OF GOVERNMENT AGRICULTURAL LANDS – EFFECTIVE JULY 5, 2021

The Valley, June 10, 2021 – The Department of Natural Resources (DNaR) would like to inform all farmers, and persons interested in farming, that as of July 5, 2021, the Department would commence the processing of application for Land Tenure of Government Agricultural Lands.

Land will be licensed in ¼ acre, ½ acre and 1-acre lots. The restructured fees are as follows:
Acreage New Cost per annum (XCD)
1 acre $1000.00
½ acre $600.00
¼ acre $300.00

All interested persons, who wish to acquire government agricultural lands for the sole purpose of farming, must visit DNaR- Agriculture Unit, as of July 5, 2021, to apply. This includes all persons currently farming government agricultural lands.
