The Valley, Anguilla – Thursday 19th November 2020. On Friday October 30th 2020, a total of 10 customers collated as ‘finalist’s in Digicel’s Shake to win a car grand giveaway. Customers in the finals comprised prepaid, postpaid and Home & Entertainment subscribers. These finalist qualified by topping up or paying their bills in full plus shaking to win digital car raffle tickets via the MyDigicel App.
On Thursday 29th October in the evening, all finalists were contacted in person or via telephone through Digicel’s entertaining Facebook LIVE stream where Digicel representatives visited the customers and briefed them into the Shake to win a car giveaway.
The following day, Digicel hosted a Shake to Win a Car game show at the Digicel retail store where the top ten finalists each participated for a chance to win one of 3 grand prizes being; EC$1000 in groceries, One weekend Villa stay for two at Tranquillity Beach and the GRAND PRIZE of a NEW 2020 Grand Hyundai i10 Car.
Customers were tasked to go through a series of games as a part of the giveaway game show that narrowed down the process of elimination. Game 1. APPY Punch wall!
Each of the 10 finalists punched a hole in the Digicel App themed wall, where qualifiers received multiple credits and prizes however, only 5 lucky persons received a RED BOW symbolizing that they had advanced to the next round.
Game 2. Answer & WIN!
The top 5 contenders were selected between 1 of 5 cell phones, at random. Those customers then waited for the phones to ring where by only 3 phones at random rang advancing to the final top 3 contenders.
Game 3. Guess the number plate!
The last 3 customers played the number game to assemble a pre assigned plate number. Each person was tasked to guess one number, one round at a time. If they guessed the correct number they would receive one point and the game would continue like this until the entire car number was assembled. The contestant with the most points would win the car.
The top 3 customers were Juan Williams, Shaniqua Hodge and Tishana Abbott. Upon arriving to the top finalists, game number 3 ended sooner than expected when one lucky customer guessed all four digits of the assigned number plate!
A burst of excitement and emotions came from Ms.Tishana Abbott, who shed tears of joy as she correctly assembled the car number plate and was announced as Digicel’s grand prize winner of the 2020 Grand Hyundai i10 Car in partnership Motorworld SXM!
