From her days of playing netball, to following her Uncle Bonty to the basketball court, Mikiah has always exhibited star qualities.
After moving to Pembroke Pines, FL at age 12 she attended Pines Middle School and then Flanagan High School. Mikiah’s star rose dramatically, with her being named Player of the Year in the state of Fl in 2016. Thanks to the tremendous support of her family, especially her mother Michelle Herbert.

Mikiah took her talents to the University of South Carolina, where as a freshman she won the Women’s NCAA Basketball Championship. Mikiah has garnered too many accolades to mention, most recently being named the MVP of the SEC Championships.

On April 17, 2020, Mikiah takes another major step, where she will become the first Anguillian to ever be drafted in the WNBA.
Mikiah you have made the entire island of Anguilla proud and we will be watching via ESPN on April 17th at 7 pm.
