This week Tuesday, March 6, 2018, was a special day for Anguilla’s Governor, Mr. Tim Foy OBE.

In delivering an address at the groundbreaking ceremony for Tranquility Beach Anguilla, on Monday, March 5, the Governor said:

“Tomorrow is the anniversary of the day that I found out I was coming to Anguilla. It is quite a special day for me. It is an experience that I will never forget and I am seeing the very best of people. I can honestly say that I have never seen that [friendly] side of people and that is the beauty of Anguilla.”

Governor Foy arrived in Anguilla just two weeks before Hurricane Irma struck the island on September 6, 2017 – his first major challenge which he handled with much commendation from everyone. He is now joined by his wife, Dr. Foy.
They both travel around the island attending social or official functions, or just on touring or relaxing visits, meeting people in the various communities while enjoying themselves.
