Presentation of Symbolic Cheque at The Valley Trough

In recognizing the uplifting spirit of years past when The Valley Mahogany Drive was lit with bright bulbs for the Christmas season and in recognizing the difficulty of finding sufficient contributors and contributions to get the festivities restarted, Irving Philips as the owner of West Indies Concrete Company and Scott Hauser as the owner of Anguilla Properties Sotheby’s International Realty decided to team together and help the cause by donating matching funds of US$1,000 each to the Lions Community of Anguilla for the event.

The total amount of US$2,000 was contributed in early November to make sure enough money was collected early enough to ensure the lights would shine brightly once again for this holiday season whereby the ceremonial hand over was conducted on December 18th when Eve Wallace-Webster of Anguilla Properties Sotheby’s International Realty and Brenda Philips of West Indies Concrete Company presented the facsimile check designed by Ron Webster of Ron’s Sign Shop to Derick Richardson of the Lions Community of Anguilla.

As such we wish one and all a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year which we hope is filled with merriment and good cheer.
