Miss. Veda Harrigan, Education Officer for Primary and Pre -Primary Schools, on Friday, June 21st was presented with tokens of appreciation for her years of service as Teacher, Head Teacher and Education Officer in the Anguilla public service. This presentation was made by the Principal, staff and pupils of the Alywn Allison Richardson Primary School in West End, during the morning assembly at the Immanuel Methodist church.
In attendance were several officers from the Education Department including Chief Education Officer, Mrs. Rhonda Connor. Persons attending from the Ministry of Social Development were Permanent Secretary Education, Mrs. Chanelle Petty Barrett and Education Planner, Mrs Dawn Reid.
The short programme consisted of renditions of poetry, songs and words of appreciation and commendation. Teacher Veda Harrigan will be officially retiring from the Anguilla public service on July 5th 2013. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours and years of retirement.
