The Rotary Club of Anguilla said its membership was pleased to have welcomed five young professionals from Texas to the island as part of a Caribbean exchange tour.

The team, which attended the weekly Rotary luncheon at DaVida on Thursday, June 6, was led by Rotarian Jennifer Bergman. It was accompanied to Anguilla by Assistant Rotary Governor, James Ferris of St. Maarten.

Rotarian Seymour Hodge, Secretary of the Anguilla Rotary Club, said the study exchange was a vocational and cultural programme for persons between the ages of 25 and 40.

Prior to arriving in Anguilla, the group visited the British Virgin Islands, St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. Barths and St. Maarten.

The members of the touring party visited several places for discussions related to their particular professions. The visits included the Morris Vanterpool Primary School, the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources and the Royal Anguilla Police Force. The group reported that the visits were generally informative and enjoyable
