According to a recent release by the group, Runway Anguilla “reflects a team of dynamic women who blend their varied experiences, talents and passion for the community, to create one of Anguilla’s most anticipated events on the social calendar.”
The highly successful event, which attracted a large attendance, was dubbed Wings – fly with us to spring fashions. The charitable funds it raised were in aid of medical support for the elderly and education support for the youth. The Platinum Sponsor was CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa with supporting Headline Sponsors being LIME Anguilla and Cape Air as well as some thirty-two other sponsors.

In delivering the welcome and introductory remarks, Janine Edwards announced the names of the various designers whose clothing was featured in the fashion show. They were Feelo’Je, House of Panache, TheoChris, CuisinArt’s Blu Boutique, Petals Boutigue and Irie Life. She was delighted that the event was to raise funds for the elderly and the youth which she described as being two of the vulnerable groups in the community.

Mrs. Edwards added that CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa had “redefined the concept of platinum sponsorship and has rolled out a red carpet in support of this event.”

CuisinArt’s General Manager, StephaneZaharia, said it was always a pleasure for his hotel to be part of the important event. He was particularly happy that the resort was nowthe proud platinum sponsor of the fashion show and added that it was looking forward to continuing that sponsorship in the near future.

The Emcees were Fiona and Donald Curtis who were pleased with the organisation of the fashion show, the involvement of the various designers and the performance of those who modelled the diverse fashions presented to the appreciative spectators.

The lunchtime programme included two silent auctions. The prizes for the winners included hotel stays, airline tickets, dinners and art and spa packages. The sponsorships from the many small businesses and individuals provided support through the silent auctions and table sponsor donations.
