On Monday, March 25, AMCON Anguilla Ltd., one of the newest companies in Anguilla, which is based at Road Bay, Sandy Ground, sent its representatives to the Festival Del Mar site at Island Harbour Bay to present a sponsorship cheque to Mr. Othlyn Vanterpol, Chairman of the event’s organising Committee.
The presentation was made by Ms Yvette Harrigan of AMCON Anguilla Ltd. which is currently engaged in a marine project at Viceroy. “We are very excited to make our first donation in Anguilla,” the well-spoken Secretary said. “You are probably wondering what is AMCON. It is a professional marine construction and diving company that offers a variety of services. These include jetty construction, underwater salvaging, and towing among others.
“One of AMCON’S missions is giving back to the community. Our efforts and contributions are focused towards educational and cultural events. I now take pleasure in making the contribution to the Honourable Mr.Vanterpool.”
In accepting the cheque for US$2,000.00 Mr.Vanterpool, who is also the Elected Representative for Island Harbour, said: “I want to publicly thank AMCON Anguilla Ltd. for assisting us with the Festival and we are proud to know that we are the first recipient of a community contribution from the company. I want to say, on behalf of the Island Harbour community and the Festival Del Mar Committee, how pleased we are and we are looking forward to working with them in the future. I wish them every success in their endeavours as they work among us in Anguilla.”
