Schools in Anguilla have been holding various activities in observance of Black History Month.

On Wednesday this week many teachers at the Orealia Kelly Primary School, led by the Principal, Mrs Jasmine Thomas, turned up in African attire at a special assembly in the auditorium.

The teachers and students were addressed by Mrs. Tina Ogolo, wife of Dr.Ogolo, a Medical Officer in Anguilla. Mrs.Ogolo, who is a national of Nigeria, spoke on life in Africa – a continent of fifty-three countries.

Her address was well received and she was thanked by the Principal, on behalf of the teachers and student body, for devoting her time and imparting her knowledge to them.

Mrs. Ogolo serves as a Senior Water Laboratory Technician in the Department of Health Protection.
