Late last year, the Millis Anguilla Foundation, administered by Mr. And Mrs. Jim and Debbie Millis, donated 0.13 acres of rocky shoreline to the Anguilla National Trust. The donation of this coastal property supports the strong and long-standing belief held by the Trust that public coastal access is critical and the organisation is pleased to be able to partner with this private landowner to make this possible in at least one part of Little Harbour. The ANT hopes that this donation marks the beginning of a movement that will see most of Anguilla’s coastline belonging to the people of the island. The ANT is grateful to both the Millis’ and Delora Anderson, Senior Paralegal with Webster Dyrud Mitchell, the law firm that facilitated the process. Anyone interested in learning more about how to partner with the Anguilla National Trust in public-private land conservation/protection arrangements or in its land donation programme, please contact the organisation at 497 5297.
