In keeping with further investor interest in the island, the Honourable Minister of Economic Development, Kyle Hodge, announced recently that the Government of Anguilla entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the company Green Development to develop the Salina Luxury Estate at Rendezvous Bay.
During the biweekly Government Press Conference of Monday, August 17th, Mr. Hodge reported that on Friday July 31st 2026, the Government and Green Development officially sprinkled shovels of gravel as a symbolic mark of ground breaking for the development of the Salina Luxury Estate.
The ground breaking ceremony symbolised the commencement of a proposed US$14.6 Million investment. The Salina Luxury Estate development project involves the development of three parcels of land in Rendezvous Bay and will comprise four luxury villas, each featuring seven bedrooms, private swimming pools, hot tubs and expansive outdoor living spaces.
According to Minister Hodge, the developmental work will be phased, beginning with site preparation and infrastructure, followed by construction of the model villa, and then the remaining villas. “The wider development will include landscaping, recreational facilities, a welcome center, tennis and pickle-ball, basketball facilities, a spa and wellness centre,” the Minister pointed out.
“The Government welcomes this significant investment,” he affirmed, “for it is expected to create employment, strengthen Anguilla’s tourism product, and contribute to our continued economic growth.”
He mentioned that the Salina Luxury Estate project is already creating opportunities for Anguillians, in that two local architects are responsible for the drawings, two local management companies are teaming up to manage the project, and local labour is directly involved in the development. Therefore, Anguillians will be participating meaningfully, he said, “in bringing Salina Luxury Estate to life.”
The 4.08-acre plot is positioned between the Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club to the west and Bankie Banx’s Dune Preserve to the east.
