Twenty-eight members of the Blue Dolphins Cricket Club travelled from Anguilla to Antigua on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, for a week-long youth cricket tour designed to give the club’s young players valuable exposure to competition beyond home.
The travelling group includes eleven students who make up the team, along with coach, William Bourne; assistant coach, Jazad Farrell; teachers, Mrs Deoranie Bharrat and Mr Naga Valvai; six parents, three additional students from the club and four other supporters.
The centrepiece of the tour is a four match series against youth players from the Liberta Black Hawks Cricket Club. The games, expected to feature under-17 and under-19 players, are intended specifically to support the development of the Blue Dolphins’ young cricketers by exposing them to strong competition and different playing conditions.

The first match is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Liberta, followed by another game on Friday, August 21, 2026, as of this writing. A third match is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026, with the fourth set for Monday, August 24, 2026.
While the four matches form the main sporting component of the visit, the young Anguillian cricketers are also being given the opportunity to experience the wider cricketing environment in Antigua.
The group will attend several Caribbean Premier League matches during the tour, including the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots vs Antigua & Barbuda Falcons on Thursday, August 20, 2026, the Trinbago Knight Riders vs Antigua & Barbuda Falcons on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and the Guyana Amazon Warriors vs Antigua & Barbuda Falcons on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The team is also expected to attend the Barbados Tridents vs Antigua & Barbuda Falcons on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The Blue Dolphins are due to return to Anguilla on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, bringing the week-long tour to a close after four matches, several CPL fixtures and an island tour. For the players, the trip offers a week of cricket away from familiar surroundings — with the experience, lessons and memories to take home with them.
