The Government of Anguilla is currently focused on its capital development agenda, taking steps to advance important infrastructure projects across the island. Members of Cabinet recently engaged BCQS International to assist with the planning and implementation of major initiatives including the development of Government Office facilities.
BCQS International is an independent property development and construction consultancy, providing advisory services to all sectors of the construction work throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. BCQS International is based in Barbados with branch offices in Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, as well as projects in the Eastern Caribbean Islands.
The Honourable Minister of Infrastructure, Jose Vanterpool, along with a technical team from his Ministry, participated in on-site visits with the BCQS consultants to assess project scope and identify priority areas. These assessments will serve to guide upcoming developmental work on the various projects.
The consultancy team will remain on island throughout this week, working closely with local developmental personnel to refine plans and ensure alignment with the Government’s budgeted capital projects.
This collaborative approach highlights the Government’s continued commitment to structured, strategic, and sustainable infrastructure development across Anguilla.
Capital expenditure for 2026 was projected at EC$233.36 Million. Key allocations from this amount would include EC$87 Million for the airport development project; EC$14 Million for the road development programme; EC$40.5 Million for land acquisition to support development; and EC$19.5 Million for Government Office accommodation.
