Centre at which elections for the new executive took placed. The new Executive members are as follows:

Athletics:-
The Anguilla Amateur Athletic Federation has secured the services of Canadian coach, Carla Nicholls to conduct a Coaching clinic for one week with athletes who are preparing for several upcoming events namely, Carifta Games in March/April, Central American & Caribbean Youth Championships in Curacao in July and the Commonwealth Games in Scotland in 2014.
This is the second time that Miss Nicholls is conducting coaching sessions on behalf of the AAAF. The Association is grateful to her for taking time out of her busy schedule to assist with the development of athletes in Anguilla.
Upcoming Events
1. The Anguilla Amateur Athletic Federation will commence their 2013 Athletic season on Sunday 27th January in the form of the 7th Annual One mile Classic.
This event is scheduled to take place in front of the Agricultural grounds at 3.00pm sharp. Everyone is encouraged to participate from adults to children. There is no registration fee, just come and run or walk. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories.
Under 9, 11, 13,15,17,20 male and female, 20 to 35 male and female and 35 plus male and female categories.
Bring out the family on Sunday afternoon and let’s have a grand time.

Cricket:-
1. Anguillan cricketers Jahmar Hamilton, Montcin Hodge, Lyndell Richardson, Yannick Lenard, Kelbert Walters, Chaka Hodge and Shane Burton will leave Anguilla on Sunday 27th January to take part in the Leeward Islands cricket training camp in Antigua ahead of the regional 50 overs and 4 day cricket tournament. The Leewards opening match is against Guyana.
2. Asharn Hodge Anguilla’s promising young batsman will be heading to The University of the West Indies at the Cave Hill campus in Barbados later this week. Asharn at age 17 has made a positive impression in his early cricketing career having represented The Leeward Islands at under 15s, 17s, and 19s as well as a match winning performance for the Anguilla senior team in the Finals of The Nagico sponsored Leeward Islands 50 over cricket tournament versus Antigua in St. Maarten.
3. Chesney Hughes Anguilla’s county cricket professional with Derbyshire County cricket Club will be heading to England on 3rd February where he will join up with some of his Derbyshire team mates en route to a two weeks spin camp in India.
4. The Anguilla Cricket Association will be holding its annual general meeting on Sunday 27th January 2013. On the agenda will be the elections of officers to the Anguilla Cricket Association.
Commonwealth Games Association:-
The Association has secured the service of a Canadian Sport Intern in the person of Amy Maggiacoma for a period of one year. While on island she will be assisting the Commonwealth association and various sports association with their development programmes.
Sandy Ground Playing Field:-
Work on the bathroom facility is progressing steadily. The project started early December and according to project manager Mr. Micheal Fleming who was instrumental in securing the funds from the Governor’s office, the project should be completed by the end of February. Meanwhile Mr. Fleming is soliciting voluntary help to ensure completion of the project. Mr. Fleming can be contacted at 235-7155 or 584-7155.
