The Anguilla Summer Festival Committee and Management and staff of Flow extends its heartfelt thanks to all the contenders who participated in the 2025 Soca Monarch Competition.
This year’s show overcame several unexpected challenges — including changes to the event’s date and last minute artist withdrawals — yet the spirit of the performers never wavered. Their resilience, dedication, and high-energy performances brought the crowd to life and reminded us all why Soca remains at the heart of our cultural celebration.
We proudly congratulate our 2025 Monarchs: Sherma Hughes “De Babe” – Power Soca Monarch (now a two-time reigning champion); and Viglef Gumbs “Viggy” – Groovy Soca Monarch ( two-time reigning champion). Their talent continues to elevate the Soca Monarch stage and inspire the next generation of performers.
Considering the changes, and conversations on maintaining the quality and standards of the Flow Soca Monarch competition between The Anguilla Summer Festival committee and the headline sponsor Flow, we are pleased to confirm the final prize structure for this year’s competition – $10,000 XCD for each category winner; and $2,000 XCD consolation prize for all other participants (per contender).
Please note: The $2,000 consolation prize is a one-time offering for 2025 only.
In addition to the local recognition, FLOW has committed $6,000 XCD to support our reigning monarchs as they travel to St. Kitts to perform as guest artists at the 2025 Sugar Mas Soca Monarch Finals. This opportunity highlights the growing regional visibility of Anguilla’s talent and strengthens cultural connections across the Caribbean.
Further details regarding this performance will be discussed with the artists, sponsor, and Committee after the conclusion of the Anguilla Summer Festival.
We once again thank all participants, sponsors, and supporters for making the 2025 Soca Monarch a true celebration of music, culture, and community. We look forward to continuing this journey of growth together.
