A Subaru vehicle distribution company based in New England have made a sizeable contribution to a local charitable institution to assist families around Anguilla.
Subaru of New England’s personnel are committed to helping the communities where they live, work and play. During a team trip to Anguilla, Subaru of New England was hosted by Four Seasons Resort.
Members of Subaru of New England, along with their retailers and guests, sought to address the needs of the community by purchasing, packaging, and donating 350 bags of food to AXA Cares Food Bank. These packages would serve to feed some 108 local families.
“Subaru of New England and our retailers strive to make the world a better place through the ‘Subaru Love Promise’, which is our commitment to being ‘More Than a Car Company’,” Jeffrey Ruble, COO of Subaru of New England stated. “We recognize the importance of giving back to the places that welcome us. No matter where we go, from New England to the Caribbean, we aim to be a positive force for the local community.”
CEO and President of Subaru of New England, Ernie Boch Jr., later amplified the company’s support by surprising the AXA Cares Food Bank with a US$50,000.00 donation to aid their ongoing community efforts.
“Our food donation is crucial in helping with the immediate needs of families in Anguilla. But, I want to honor my good friend, Bankie Banx – the Bob Dylan of Anguilla, by making this extra contribution,” Boch emphasized. “We hope the AXA Cares Food Bank can continue to impact and help those who are in need on the island with supplies long after our departure.”
Accepting the packages and funds on behalf of the AXA Cares Food Bank was its Coordinator, Mrs. Blondell Rodgiers. She expressed her heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Subaru: “I would like to thank the Subaru group of New England for its generous contribution of food stuff, and its financial donation to the AXA Cares Food Bank.
“Your donation will certainly have a great impact on the many individuals and families that we serve. A hearty ‘Thank You’ once again for your generous support.”
