Looking back, I often ponder the impact it would have had on me if there was someone locally who resembled me, someone who had faced the same trials and tribulations of young adulthood. What if this person not only pursued their dreams but meticulously documented their journey, providing a roadmap to navigate the pitfalls that I, like many, stumbled upon?
It wasn’t just about proving that the dreams I harbored were achievable; it was about instilling in me an unwavering belief—a belief that stands as the bedrock when chasing aspirations. A belief that makes the impossible, possible!
This piece is crafted with that singular purpose: to extend that belief to any young soul, mirroring my struggles and aspirations. You are invited to borrow a piece of my belief, to stride in the confidence it brings, until your own belief burgeons into the force that shapes your desired reality.
Here’s what I’ve mastered on my journey:
The Power of Possibility:
Whatever you believe is possible for you, is possible. The realms of financial stability, the creation of a lasting legacy, and the accomplishment of your goals are not distant galaxies. They exist within your grasp, waiting for the touch of your conviction. Disregard the notion that something is impossible simply because it hasn’t been done or documented before. Your dreams are unique, and your journey can rewrite the script.
Role Models and Optimism:
Consider the impact of role models in cultivating optimism. They play a crucial role in shaping our belief systems. Yet, what if you find yourself without a readily available role model? Does the absence of a guiding figure dampen the optimism required for your journey? Here’s a revelation: you don’t necessarily need a role model; you can be the pioneer. Look at the inspiring story of Roger Bannister, a British medical student, and runner who shattered the four-minute mile barrier. He chose to be the pioneer and, in doing so, became a role model for others. Just be a pioneer!
Principles over Luck:
Success isn’t a lottery; it’s rooted in the application of principles. Whether you believe luck favors the fortunate or those with inheritances, the truth lies in the consistent application of universal principles. Just as the runner Roger Bannister applied principles and trained hard to beat the four-minute mile, your success hinges on your commitment to proven principles. All principles work no matter where you take it from and apply it. Use proven principles for your success!
Choosing Your Circle:
Take a moment to reflect on your circle of influence. Surround yourself with individuals who reflect the aspirations you hold. If financial transformation is on your agenda, prioritize learning from people who practice reproduction over consumption. Learn about how they invest their resources in ventures that generate more resources to break free from the cycle of accumulating liabilities. Learn about income producing assets and accumulate them! Learn about wealth reducing liabilities and reduce them!
Unlearning Faulty Principles:
Challenge the principles handed down to you if they haven’t yielded the desired results. Disregard the notion that “that’s just the way things are.” One egregious fib is the belief that the purpose of money is merely spending and paying bills. Unlearn this fallacy; money’s true purpose lies in accumulating income-producing assets. Reprogram your mindset to understand that money’s primary function is to reproduce itself and when your actions follow, your life will change for the better.
The Mentorship Paradigm:
In your quest for knowledge and success, acknowledge the fallacy of figuring everything out on your own. Seek mentors, financial advisors, or guidance from those who’ve traversed paths you aspire to tread. Unearth the power in learning from others’ experiences.
Cultivating an Intentional Mindset:
The journey to a better destination demands an intentional mindset. Educate yourself before you entertain yourself. Continuous learning isn’t a relic of the school system; it’s a lifelong pursuit. Doubt may initially cloud any new information you may seek, but remember, in order for you to arrive at superior future destinations you must replace faith with doubt. Faith produces action and doubt produces inaction!
Borrowing Belief:
As you navigate this terrain, borrow my belief or the belief of anyone audacious enough to dream. Use it as a scaffold until your self-belief takes flight. It’s not just a principle; it’s a daily practice you must adapt, a mantra that propels you towards better outcomes.
The Why:
Why does this matter? For you, life moves at an unyielding pace; financial challenges intensify with age, responsibilities accumulate, and the strains on families burgeon. But, belief opens doors to a life envisioned in your dreams; that’s where your reality exists. One of the biggest mistakes you can ever make in life is to go through life thinking that physicality is reality and invisibility is not reality. The physical world is nothing more than a manifestation of the invisible world. Don’t stop dreaming!
For me, it’s more than a profession; it’s a commitment to equip you with the tools for financial resilience. My journey to entrepreneurship, fraught with challenges, is not just a tale but a lived dream turned reality—a reality you can now borrow belief from.
I truly believe that in the realm of financial principles, they work for you if you understand and apply them. They work against you if you don’t. So dissect this piece, absorb what resonates, apply it to your life, and let’s unravel financial intricacies together. Do share this wisdom with teenagers who are about to enter the workforce, for they harbor aspirations that demand nurturing.
Remember, belief is your superpower. Embrace it. Borrow it. Build with it.
Because, what if the life you dream of is just be a belief away?
Today I challenge you to borrow my belief in you and start living the life of your dreams.
