Sunset Homes personnel distribute Back-To-School supplies to children in the community

One of the traditional annual highlights on the Sunset Homes calendar is the Sunset Homes Annual Fun Day held on the company’s original office grounds in Caul’s Bottom, every year over the period August 2002 until 2019.
The company’s employees and community volunteers would come together and put on a grand fair including children’s booths, sporting and fun games attracting scores of families from the Caul’s Bottom and neighbouring villages, for a day of camaraderie and sharing. This fair culminated in the famously contested Tug O’ War including the young and old and the day rounded off with gift giving of school supplies to the children, just in time for the upcoming academic school year.

After the pandemic, the initiative went mobile to focus on delivering much needed school supplies in the hands of families.

Sunset Homes extends special thanks to Joe Williams (Joe B) who is active in mobilising the supplies collection drive in the US and Charlene Roach and family, Joan Johnson, Dr Indira Singh and Teacher Dahlia Shields, for their invaluable help in collaborating with Sunset Homes to coordinate this well-received initiative.

Profound thanks goes out to our loyal overseas contributors who donated supplies including Joe Williams, Tropical Shipping USA, Jackie Rogers, Jose Johnson, Paul Calise, Merrilee Gorman, Claude Clevinger, Katherine Chacon, Sincere 2000 Foundation, Jeff Ellis, and Crane Tech.
