The contributions were delivered by Aurora’s Brand Ambassador Committee Chairperson, Mr. Chris Richardson; Brand Ambassador Committee Member, Mr. Romez Webster; and Public Relations Officer, Mr. Brian Corbett.

Mr. Damien Harrigan, Chairman of Festival Del Mar Committee, received a cheque in the amount of US$800.00. The Festival is held on the bayside in Island Harbour.

In thanking Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club Mr. Harrigan said: “Festival Del Mar is now in our sixteenth year, and I am very grateful to the team at Aurora Resort for coming on board and assisting us with sponsorship. We know these are some difficult times economically, so we really appreciate this donation which will add to making this year’s festival another success.”

He said that the US$800.00 would go towards the production of trophies and medals as well as to provide refreshments for Festival Del Mar’s personnel during the weekend event.
Mr. Julian Hughes received the Easter Monday Boat Race contribution on behalf of the South Hill Boat Racing Committee.

He also thanked Anguilla.
“This will be our 30th annual Easter Monday Boat Race,” he said. “Aurora has been one of our prime sponsors over the years, and, as usual, we are very grateful to this company for sponsoring the first prize of US$1,200.00.”

Aurora’s Brand Ambassador Committee Chairperson, Mr. Chris Richardson said how delighted he and his colleagues were, to present the donations on behalf of Aurora.

“Over the years we have partnered with initiatives that are culturally driven,” he said. “We regard both Festival Del Mar and the Easter Monday Boat Race as cultural features of Anguilla. At Aurora, we are keen on supporting educational, health, and cultural[ly] based programmes and activities, and as a corporate citizen, we were delighted to partner again this year with these two cultural events.”
