GOVERNMENT SIGNS MOU FOR MANOAH HOTEL

Chief Minister Hughes (far right) signing MOU

On Monday December 24 2012, Chief Minister Hubert Hughes signed a MOU for a new hotel in Shoal Bay on behalf of the Government of Anguilla.

This paves the way for the development for new hotel product where the KU hotel was previously. The new hotel is estimated to cost just over US$20 million and will comprise of thirty four (34) rooms. It will entail the demolition of most of the existing KU and a reconfiguration that will increase the room component by an additional seven (7) rooms and significantly upgrade the character and amenities of the hotel.

The hotel will also have other commercial activities such as boutiques, restaurants and will not involve the sale of condominium units and will be operated as an upscale high end hotel. The Developer will retain and own one hundred (100) percent of the total hotel rooms comprising the Project, along with all related facilities.

The developer, Monsier Sandor Schneider signed the Memorandum of Understanding and was witnessed by Ms. Yvonne Webster-Lloyd.
