The Valley, Anguilla – The Anguilla Community College (ACC) invites young persons to take their next step in the world of work with the College. The launch of its vocational certificate programmes for the upcoming academic year, 2022/23, represents the launch of ACC’s “Step into Success” campaign highlighting the importance of skill-based training for life advancement.

ACC will offer nine (9) vocational certificate programmes, accredited by Pearson BTEC, in the areas of Digital Media, Business, Hospitality & Tourism, Information Technology, Construction and for the first time, Hair & Beauty, Agriculture, Sports and Caring for Children. These programmes are introductory level qualifications and are specifically targeted at persons who are graduating this year or who have recently left secondary school within the last year or two.
Commenting on today’s launch, Dr Williams, President of ACC, stated: “The College has been offering BTEC qualifications for the past six (6) years. We are particularly excited to introduce four (4) new subject areas to our vocational programming. These additions support our mandate to deliver high quality programmes that address the needs of the community. These new, exciting and innovative programmes will add to the ACC’s quest to meet the Anguillian community’s needs and ensure that the workforce standards across Anguilla in these vocational areas are strengthened.”
Representatives from ACC will be attending the Annual School Leavers’ Conference organised by the Anguilla Careers and Guidance Unit to promote the College’s programmes and short courses and encourage individuals to register.
