President of the Anguilla Cycling Association, Sharon Richardson-Lowe, said that the two cyclists have been training hard. With technology, they have been able to download the route and – with the help of a smart trainer – from the comfort of their homes, they have been able to get a feel of what the route is like. They are looking forward to the race and to putting their talent on display.
The cyclists departed Anguilla, via the Blowing Point Ferry Terminal, on Tuesday, June 28 and [will] return on July 4, 2022.
The Anguilla Cycling Association wishes to extend a hearty thank you to the Government of Anguilla – through the Department of Sports – for the assistance it provided in making the trip possible, and to the Commonwealth Games Office for the arrangements.
The cycling association extends best wishes, and safe travel to the team as it proudly represents Anguilla in Guadeloupe.
