First Duke Of Edinburgh Cup Qualifying Event In Anguilla

On 18 May, HE the Governor met with Nick Pyle, Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh Cup and Richard Phillips, Head Golf Professional at Aurora International Golf Club to learn more about the Duke of Edinburgh Cup Qualifying Event to be played in Anguilla for the first time this Saturday 21 May 2022.

The Duke of Edinburgh Cup is a Golf Charity with Royal Patronage dedicated to helping young people worldwide by providing and giving support in health, education and welfare. It was established in 2001 and has since helped many young people around the world make their lives more meaningful. To date, over US$5,000,000 has been raised through events held in countries as diverse as Japan, the Bahamas, South Africa, Mauritius, Canada, Botswana, Dubai, India, Portugal, Barbados, Czech Republic, USA, Brazil, Gibraltar, Germany and now Anguilla. All funds raised from the qualifying event on Saturday, and future qualifiers, will be used to support youth development in Anguilla.
