Continuation Of The Public Accounts Committee Public Hearings With The Anguilla Tourist Board

The Public Accounts Committee of the twelfth Anguilla House of Assembly will continue the public hearings with the Anguilla Tourist Board to:

(a) Review historical and current financial and accounting practices of the Anguilla Tourist Board (the “ATB”).

(b) Examine the concerns raised by the Chief Auditor and any other related issues, so as to:

ADVERTISEMENT

i. Understand the causes surrounding the issues highlighted;
ii. Establish progress by the ATB towards addressing those concerns; and
iii. Propose action(s) to remedy those and any further concerns highlighted throughout the inquiry.

(c) Establish what good financial and accounting practice should look like as it regards to the ATB.

The hearings are scheduled as follows:
a. Monday April 11th 2022
10am – 3pm hearing;
– Mr Leslie Richardson, former Chairperson
– Mr Foster Rogers, former
Permanent Secretary, Tourism

b. Wednesday April 13th 2022
10am – 3pm hearing;
– Mrs Bonnie Bloom, former Chairperson
– Mrs Stacey Liburd, Chairperson

The hearings will be livestreamed via the House of Assembly’s Facebook Page and Radio Anguilla. All sessions are open to the public to attend.
