A number local Female Entrepreneurs were featured at the Simply Natural Open House in celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s Week 2022 last week. Among the business women promoting their products, were Women’s Week Honouree, Chef Karimah Carty and Gina Brooks of Vegan Bites. Customers and visitors were able to sample and purchase a number of vegan lunch plates, as well as learn about the ingredients and cooking process.
Also participating in the Open House were Whitney Foster of Lady Empress Naturals and Christobel Daniel of Cari Bella Skin Care, who treated attendees with samples, as well as skin care tips. Visitors to the Open House were also provided with guided information sessions and special discounts on a number of women’s natural health products available at Simply Natural.
The Open House was a collaborative effort between Simply Natural and Gender Affairs in keeping with the theme “Building a Better You” which focused on holistic wellness for women during International Women’s Day and Women’s Week 2022. Owner of Simply Natural and Gender Equality Activist, Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks, says that partnering with Gender Affairs to promote holistic wellness was a natural fit for the health food establishment, as supporting holistic wellness through education, awareness-building and supporting local entrepreneurs in the holistic health sector have been part of Simply Natural’s operations for the last 29 years.
The special focus on women’s health at Simply Natural will continue throughout the month of March.
