Alexis Ryan with models

It was one of the highlights of the Valley Street Festival put on by the Anguilla Tourist Board on Saturday 8th Dec to mark Tourism Week 2012. Among the many activities and performances was a fashion show exhibiting clothes designed by Mr. Alexis S. Ryan of North Side, Anguilla. Alexis, a customs officer by profession, began experimenting with designing clothes at the age of 13. Stunning models displayed 24 dresses in 3 segments, including unique designed back-outs, short pant suits, knee and ankle length dresses, all receiving thunderous applause from the appreciative crowd.
Alexis has presented designs at the Silhouette Fashion House Presents in St. Lucia in June this year and at the Digicel Miss Mature show at Festival de Noel and worn by a contestant in the Miss St. Kitts Pageant show. All clothes were designed by Alexis and sown by his mother Marylin. His twin sister Alicia assisted with stage and dressing room management. Alexis also did the make up and some hair.

We wish the young clothes designer, whose work is of regional and international standard, all the best in his future endeavours, including his segment at the Digicel Miss. Mature show later this month.
