Construction work at Sandy Ground playing field

Mr. Michael Fleming, the main motivator behind the provision of public sanitary facilities at the Sandy Ground playing field, is grateful to all businesses and individuals for their continuing assistance.

“The facilities now being constructed here will serve the needs of a large number of school children, and adults from the community, who use the playing field throughout the week,” Mr. Fleming stated on Monday, during the pouring of the foundation for the structure.

“Now that the foundation has been poured, a group from East End, under the leadership of Owen Mussington, will be putting up the blocks along with Marlon Richardson (from Long Bay) and me. We are thankful for the contributions from a number of donors including Anguilla Masonry Productions, which provided the concrete, and those who paid for it, along with the contribution from the Overseas Development Fund. The money from that Fund was not sufficient, so I am getting assistance from various persons in the community.”
