The Anguillian author of “Tia Visits the Dentist”, Trish Richardson, is back with another offer to help improve the oral health of children.
February is Children’s Dental Health Month and as her contribution to promoting good oral health in the children of Anguilla, she will be hosting a webinar titled “Children’s Oral Health and the Role of Parents”. The guest speaker for this webinar is Dr. Nidhi Kotak.
Dr. Nidhi Kotak is a Paediatric Dental Resident at the Temple University Hospital in the USA. She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor.
Dr. Kotak will be discussing topics ranging from tongue ties and how it affects breastfeeding, use of pacifiers, tips on how to break the thumb sucking habit, the right toothpaste and toothbrush to use and the right age for a child’s first dental visit.
At the end of the webinar there will be a Q&A where parents can ask Dr. Kotak questions relating to their child’s oral health and breastfeeding.
