GOVERNOR MEETS WITH OPPOSITION MEMBERS

The Anguillian newspaper has been informed that Her Excellency the Governor, Ms. Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratman, the Leader of the Opposition, Mrs. Cora Richardson-Hodge, and two of her colleagues, Mr. Cardigan Connor and Mr. Jose Vanterpool, met virtually on Thursday, January 21, beginning at 4.00 pm.

That meeting was held three days following the Governor’s virtual swearing-in which was largely attended by Premier Dr. Ellis Webster and his Cabinet. Only Mrs. Richardson-Hodge represented the Opposition.
The Governor remains at her place of quarantine from where she spoke with the three Opposition members who were also at different locations. It was arranged for the fourth Opposition member, Mr. Evans Rogers, who is the United States, to listen to the video link broadcast.
The agenda for the meeting was not immediately available.
