The Department of Youth and Culture (Ministry of Social Development), collaborating with the Management Advisory Board of the Job Link-Up Programme, has commenced registration for the 2022 cohort.

The Job Link-Up Programme targets young people between the ages of 16-30 who are unable to gain full-time employment due to a combination of socio-economic and other personal factors, namely, but not limited to:
– Non-completion of high school
– Personal disability
– Current or past health and/or substance abuse-related problems
– Single parenthood
– Low levels of literacy and/or numeracy
– English as a second language
– Regular contact with justice, probation, child welfare or social assistance systems
– Homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless
– Inadequate social supports (family, friends or community supports)
– Poor self- and/or behaviour-management
All applicants must be:
– Between the ages of 16 to 30
– Unemployed or actively seeking employment for one or more years

The Programme provides participants with opportunities for behavioural and career counselling, ongoing mentorship support, continuing education and skills development at the Anguilla Community College, coupled with a six months apprenticeship at a suitable business. It is hoped that at the completion of the Programme, clients would have shown a positive change in their behaviour, attitude and outlook on life, and possibly as a result of the Programme, gain full-time employment.
