The redevelopment of the Carter Rey Boulevard or The Valley Main Road, is expected to commence later this month. This is according to the Minister of Infrastructure, Mr. Haydn Hughes.

He told The Anguillian newspaper that he overall cost of the road is 7.1 million EC dollars. The money was provided by the UK Government through the Governor’s Office

The Heavy Equipment contract has been awarded to Mr. Junie Fleming of Superior Equipment. The work will entail mainly a total excavation of the current road for the new Carter Rey Boulevard, resulting in significant disruption of vehicle and pedestrian travel.
