Jaivani Carty

Further to the article carried in The Anguillian newspaper on 17th September 2021 (Vol. 23 # 33), I wish to extend heartiest congratulations to Jaivani Carty (JJ), who, during the just concluded season with his cricket club, in the UK, Wokingham Cricket Club, was awarded the honour of U19 XI Player of the Year, for his efforts in the U19 XI (Under 19, 11) tournament.

The end of season Award Dinner Ceremony, held on 30th October 2021, saw Jaivani receiving the award amongst his teammates and cricketing officials. The transition to British cricketing conditions was challenging – but Jaivani’s determination to succeed saw him conquering one challenge after the other. Jaivani is a staunch believer of Philippians 4:13 a constant reminder that he is not alone in this venture.
Furthermore, Jaivani applied for sponsorship and was greeted on 29th October 2021, by an email from Neon Cricket stating that his sponsorship application was successful – and was offered a place on the company’s Silver Tier sponsorship scheme. Neon Cricket is one of the UK’s fastest growing cricket brands. This contract was confirmed on 2nd November 2021.

Jaivani left Anguilla in August 2020 for the UK to study and improve his cricketing skills. Congrats JJ and keep growing from strength to strength.
