Dear Editor

THANKS FOR THE GOOD WORK

I would like to commend the cleanup crew that is working around the island to clear brush from the edges of the roadway. As a Cul-de-Sac resident, our road had slowly closed up to nearly one lane in some areas and presented a dangerous traffic situation. The clearing work has restored the full width and greatly improved conditions. I would like to add that this work has the added benefit of presenting a good first impression of the island to visitors. Neatness does count. Initiatives such as this contribute to the tourism product more than many people realize. Thanks for the good work.

John Vannatta
