On Sunday 22nd August Gorgeous Scilly Cay and Tropical Distributors hosted their first ever ‘Model Boats Race.’

All the boats were locally made and designed by the young men. There was also an outpouring of support from the community.

There were 3 trial races, and following the real race, Mr. Matthias Pemberton of Island Harbour placed first with his boat, Baby Blue. He won a trophy and 300 US dollars sponsored by Tropical Distributors.

Jarique Harrigan of Island Harbour with his boat – “Splinter” placed second and he received a trophy and 200 US dollars sponsored by Scilly Cay Fishing Charters.
Corrani “Pepper” Proctor of North Hill with his boat “Savage” came in third. He received a trophy and 100US dollars.
