The celebration of the life and service of the late Keith Almair Robinson was held at the Ebenezer Methodist Church on Friday, August 6, 2021. He passed away in Colombia on July 14.
Keith was born on August 8, 1965, to Vera Lloyd-Robinson of Anguilla and Wycliffe Robinson of St. Kitts. He was the first of his siblings to take up residence in Anguilla with their grandmother, the late Jemima Lloyd of Roaches Hill.
Keith was a well-known community worker in Anguilla. He worked professionally as a Welder with his speciality being in aluminium and stainless steel railings for residences, and business places, in various parts of the island.
He was a former member of the crew of the Miss Anguilla racing boat. In his later years, he started playing the trumpet and joined the Royal Anguilla Police Force/Community Band -and performed at various parades and other official functions.
Keith became a volunteer with the Anguilla Red Cross, and a Water Safety Instructor with the Anguilla Aquastars Swim Club – a role he enjoyed up to his passing.
He also assisted the Department of Youth and Culture with its Job Link-Up Programme for unemployed young people across the island.
In a tribute to him, in the Funeral Booklet, his family wrote in part: “There are so many other things about Keith that made him the great person that he was and we, the family, are indeed grateful to have been allowed to share his life with him.”
Among his family, Keith is survived by his mother, Vera Lloyd-Robinson, his wife; Andrea Blondell Robinson; two daughters, Kelandra and Keianna Robinson; a grand-daughter, Keimyah Benjamin; a special son, Keiffer Benjamin; and siblings: Douglas Greene, Denise Phipps, Curtis Robinson, Gail Mills, Malcolm Williams, Keven Mulley, Stephanie Robinson-France, Orngel Battice-Mathew, Arthur Ward and Craig Dias.
