In order to accommodate applicants who were unable to complete their undergraduate applications for Semester 1, 2021/2022 by the July 16th deadline, the University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus has extended the timeline for receipt of applications to Saturday, July 31, 2021.

This extension will accommodate additional enrolment in the University’s Management, Education, Banking and Finance, Social Sciences, Administrative, Paralegal, Sports and Tourism and Hospitality programmes. Applicants can visit the website at www.open.uwi.edu, apply online by midnight on July 31st and submit their documentation by August 4th to get started in September, 2021.

The UWI is the leading tertiary institution in the region and is rated among the top 2.5% Universities in the world. Tuition costs range from about US$3,000.00 for a Certificate programme to US$12,000.00 for a Bachelors’ degree, from start to finish and during these challenging times, the local Staff are encouraging residents to take advantage of the convenience of earning a world-class accredited degree without leaving home, family or their jobs.

The University is also encouraging persons in the private and public sector to take advantage of the University’s Special Admittance which allows for enrolment in “one-off”, stand-alone courses in Tourism, Sports, Management, Accounting, Law, Project Management or Education for their professional development or credit. Additionally, the Prior Learning Assessment Programme, provides persons with the opportunity to translate their on-the-job experience into University credits. These credits can then be used for matriculation or towards a certificate or degree programme.

Applicants and continuing students are also reminded that applications for the Kimdra Smith-Webster Scholarship and the Julian R. Harrigan Memorial Scholarship close on July 30 and 31, 2021, respectively.

Interested persons can visit the website www.open.uwi.edu, or contact The UWI Open Campus Anguilla at 264-497-8156, WhatsApp 476-5317 or email at anguilla@open.uwi.edu.
