Mr. A. Nathaniel Hodge, MBE
Editor in Chief
The AnguillianDear Mr. Hodge”Anguilla wins international business from Barbados!”

I am writing to thank the significant number of Anguilla professionals who were helpful with messages and support for my attendance at the 65th Annual International Fiscal Congress in Paris, 11-16 September. The event was very successful with the largest ever, 3000, international members attending.

The objectives of IFA are the study and advancement of international and comparative law in regard to public finance, international and comparative tax law and the financial and economic aspects of taxation.Effectiveness, fairness and legitimacy of tax competition is important globally. Anguilla’s recent signing of many international Tax Information Exchange Agreements is a significant and positive step forward in growing new industries and international business for our island.Evidence of that is the confirmation this week of two important clients who will be moving their operations from Barbados to Anguilla. We can be proud of the recognition and superiority our jurisdiction has achieved and I know we can look forward to much more new business of this type.

Thank you all for your continued support.
