The Anguilla Programme public sector projects, now either in a state of advanced construction, or completed, have just been reviewed, according to a release on the Governor’s Facebook page.

A total of 60 million pounds, the equivalent of 200 million East Caribbean dollars, was provided in a grant to Anguilla from the UK Government to rebuild the education and health public sectors following Hurricane Irma in September 2017.

The release from the Governor’s Office stated that the Anguilla Programme and the Anguilla Resilience Programme Board met on Wednesday, June 16, for the review.

It went on: “The Board will continue to provide oversight and governance for the Anguilla Programme until its completion in March 2023; and now for the new Anguilla Resilience Programme, announced earlier this month, that will provide two million pounds/three million dollars UKG support for new economic resilience projects. These will include The Valley Road rehabilitation and future Aviation Sector development.

“The Board discussed all ongoing Anguilla and new Anguilla Resilience Programme projects. The latest to complete is Valley Primary School, now in the process of final handover to the Department of Education.”
