Commissioner taking COVID-19 Vaccine

As health officials continue their campaign to vaccinate all persons in Anguilla, against the COVID-19 virus, the newly-appointed Commissioner of Police, Mr. David Lynch, is leading by example.
The British-born Commissioner, who recently arrived in Anguilla from St. Helena, took the COVID jab at the Princess Alexandra Hospital on Tuesday, February 23, several days after coming out of quarantine.

Apart from safeguarding his personal health, his decision to take the vaccine, is an encouragement to all persons, across the communities of Anguilla, to do likewise.

He took the vaccine on the first day of his patrol on the island, following his formal appointment, on February 19, by Governor Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam.
Commissioner Lynch commented: “I am keen to encourage all officers and staff of the Royal Anguilla Police Force to get this vaccine.”

He also stated that the service and care he received at the hospital “was great, and there is a need for all frontline staff to get the vaccine in order to ensure that we can serve the public of Anguilla. Remember this vaccine is for you, the Royal Anguilla Police Force, the public and the economy.”
