Established in 2006, The Arijah Children’s Foundation is a non-profit fundraising organization for the Blossom Centre where Anguilla’s children with special needs receive education and therapies to help them learn how to walk and talk and gives hope for a brighter future.

On two occasions, employees of, FedEx’s independent licensee contractor in Anguilla(Professional Courier Services) visited the Blossom Centre in connection with the FedEx Cares program. The first afternoon, we were given an in-depth overview and tour of the centre by Renuka Harrigan, Founder & President of the Arijah Children’s Foundation Anguilla Limited, and we observed the operation and it’s needs. There was an urgent need for a playpen which Professional Courier Services purchased and donated to the centre.  We had an opportunity to observe the teacher administering physiotherapy.

On our second visit to Blossom Centre which was on October 06th, 2012, we spent some time with Arijah after whom the Foundation is named; and observed how she responds to sound and movement on an iPad loaded with programs for special needs children, which makes it a useful tool to help develop their abilities.
