The Rotary Club of Anguilla, in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month, partnered with several organisations and persons within the community to put on a Pink Fashion Show on Saturday 24th October, 2020. The theme of the event was Think Pink, Wear Pink. The attendees were all asked to don pink clothing in support of brave persons that have been diagnosed with, and have valiantly faced, the disease.
The beautiful venue, Coyaba Villa, was adorned with pink and provided a relaxing atmosphere for all attendees. The Fashion show was spectacular, with pieces being shown by the amazing TheoChris designs entitled Shine and Hope ( dedicated to persons who have dealt with Breast Cancer), Nvie Boutique, and a single stunning piece by Star quality designs.
The event was not just a Fashion Show. The programme was sprinkled with powerful testimonials from representatives from the Women With Heart Foundation and the Cancer Society – along with a powerful spoken word presentation by Ms. Regine Niles entitled “I fight”. Attendees were soothed by the musical stylings of DJ Bless and DJ Tights – as well as the incomparable Vere Music who graciously gave of their time.
The event was Pinktastic . Attendees expressed that they had a wonderful time and it was all to support the Anguilla Cancer Society and other important projects in the community. The Rotary Club is humbled by the generosity and support of the businesses and persons within the community. As such its members would like to thank: Villa Coyaba, Flow, Pink Mako, What We Do In Anguilla, Essentials Stationery & Gifts, Tropical Distributors, Anguilla Treasures, Vere Musiq, Black Orchid, Millennium Sound & Staging Inc, TheoChris, Dr. Kareema Matthews, our fellow Rotarians, Glenneva Hodge, DJ Bless, DJ Tights, Regine Niles, Leshlyn Joseph, Lisa Joseph, The Right Stuff Transport Services, Mr Claudel Romney, Titus George, Kaydian Maitland, Jamie Lewis, Laurie Hernandez, St. Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church, Bonfiness Party Place, Prestige Boutique, The Gift Box, Nico’s Restaurant and Katie’s Accessories.
