2020 AARF Board

In October of 2000, the Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation (AARF) was organised by a group of people concerned about animal welfare in Anguilla, with Dr. Patrick Vanterpool as the first president. In those past 20 years AARF has developed many projects, programs and events focusing on improving animal welfare that include the AARF shelter, spay/neuter initiatives, adoptions, educational school visits, vaccination programmes, Second Chances Thrift shop and most recently AARF Fun Day at Roy’s on October 3.
This Fun Day celebration included an area to meet some of our puppies and kittens for adoption, an education corner, craft table, items such as t-shirts, dog and cat toys, collars and leashes – and a unique selection of clothes and jewelry from our thrift store – Second Chances for sale. Roy’s provided BBQ lunches, and drinks were available thanks to the support of Tito’s Vodka.

As a part of our celebration the AARF board would like to recognise and thank Jackie Pascher and Suzie Donahue for more than 19 years of service as board members and volunteers at AARF.

The AARF Board would like to thank all of the community that has supported our shelter, by adopting and bringing in their pets for free spay/neuter surgery, and to those that also continue to help us financially. We are extremely grateful.
