An increasing number of students are graduating from the Anguilla-based UWI Open Campus. They are making the tertiary institute proud of them and, at the same time, are securing for themselves a comfortable and beneficial place in the field of education.
The latest graduation, on Wednesday, August 5, was at a Certificate Presentation Ceremony held at the nearby Church of God (Holiness) at Pope Hill on the Queen Elizabeth Avenue.

Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks, Manager of the Open Campuses in the British Overseas Territories in the Caribbean, said the Anguilla Open Campus had come to the end of its academic year. “We are here to celebrate our seventy-five course participants in the 2019/2020 Continuing and Professional Education Programme,” she explained.
Among those at the event were Premier Dr. Ellis Webster; Minster of Education and Social Development, Ms. Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers; and the Ministerial Assistant, Mr. Merrick Richardson. Speaking on behalf of the Minister, Mr. Richardson congratulated the students, course facilitators and the Anguilla UWI Open Campus. He was delighted by the Continuing and Professional Education programme and the learning and employment benefits it is providing for many persons in Anguilla.

The courses and students in the 2019/2020 programme were:
Introduction to Health, Safety & Nutrition, Early Childhood Education, Care & Development (facilitated by Mrs. Dana Ruan):
Tenecia Burrell, Erica Carter, Oneeka Elias Gillis, Ronnie Francis, Faustina Nanton, Janique Payne and Elaine Wilson-Alexander.
